Build contemporary dressers from numbers. You will find numbers in the ministry department of any major home improvement store and timber farm. It is a relatively cheap wood. Carefully inspect each board to make sure each piece is straight and not skewed. You will not be able to build an agency that is a box if your play is skewed. If your chest is not square, it will not get stable, the drawers will not open and close properly, and it will look fuzzy. Give yourself all the benefits, and start with good pieces of wood.
Build the frame
Build the frame that will act as a structure for the front of modern dressers with narrow pine boards. The amateur Woodworker plans require 3/4 inch depth and 2 1/2 inch wide pieces. Use wood 40 inches long for the sides of the front frame. Use the knee joints to join vertical pieces with the strips that span the width of the front of the chest and separate and support the drawers. Hang with pieces of the front frame together with the knee joints. Make turns the joints by placing two pieces of wood to overlap each other. Cut half the thickness of each part, so when you put the pieces together, they form a whole piece. Attach the pieces together with glue. Create a frame of the same size for the back of the agency. Build the frames for sides of suits with pieces of numbers that are 1/2 inch wide and 1/2 inch deep. The tops and bottoms are 14 3/4 inches long, and the sides are 36 1/2 inches long. Use a router to cut a groove along the edge of the pieces that will meet in the finished elegant dresser.
